mid autumn celebration

where was i two half weeks back? hmmmm i was in the mooncake festival at Takashimaya Square. Work there as the sub chef to make the mooncake..... it is fried yam mooncake... A.K.A Teochew mooncake....

So i was there help the shi fu to fold and fried the mooncake... so can u imagine how oily it was? make the mooncake in front of to public actually is so fun... many ppl look at us.. and their face looks so amazed on what we did to make the mooncake. hehe some of the ppl sometimes also pretend that they knw how to make it.. haha they really sound how to make it.... but the FACT is.... so hard...

What i mean by so hard is on how to open the skin, or hmmm how to make the layer of the skin. i already tried to open the skin but till now i cannt. i only can fold it.

First day, i couldn't fold the mooncake.. i can but so slow..... ( im a bit shock when the boss told me that i will work om the kitchen and help the shi fu to make the mooncake. a bit proud to myself also because overall , what the public bought it , it was from my handmade... so give applause to may" hand " that work so hard to make the mooncake.... cz i can feel around my hand a bit hurt, a bit sprain i think. ) but day by day.. i become so fast.. and sometimes i dont need to see the dough and the filling. huahaha sound so PRO. but trust me.. its so hard and can sprain ur hand..... Why? because? can u imagine a day we make a bout 300-400 mooncake? and its all by hand? one by one and its HANDMADE.... wew....



the mid Autumn festival was till 4th of november, but my class start on 1stNovember.... so.. no choice for irene and me...In the morning we work at 9 pm and then went school on 11.30 am and back to work again on 4.30 pm. huaaa how hectic it was!!!! the result?? we were so sleepy on class... huahaha

this bakerzin guy i think keep flirt with one of our fren. huahaha and maybe next year he can join our booth instead or bakerzin booth... but nvm lha.. this guy can give their mooncake... so take and give its okay lo.... thx yiqi that already so kind and willing to be so close with this guy. huahaha

the last dat i managed to try to make OTAH MOONCAKE.. and its turn so nice... haha cz its hot lha... hahaha maybe next year they can sell otah mooncake... haha and the others were Crispy durian mooncake.. which we sell for special order....

Time to clean our booth.. WOWWWW.... so dirtyyyyy .... huahaha

So thats all for this year..

THE MOONCAKE FESTIVAL IS OVER.. I HOPE I CAN BE THERE AGAIN NEXT YEAR. IT WAS TIRING BUT SO FUN....:)
